An accurate drive is required to avoid the lake on the left, the trench and out of bounds on the right leaving a challenging second shot.

Hole 2 – Canal Turn

Par 5 Stroke Index – 6
An outstanding Par 5 requiring a well struck drive to miss the trenches and water left from the tee.
For the longer hitters it’s possible to carry the water on the left making it possible to reach this Par 5 in two, but be careful not to take too much off the corner.
A difficult second shot with out of bounds right and water left. The approach to the green kicks the ball to the left.

Hole 3 – The Chair

There is very little room for error at this difficult Par 3 with out of bounds right and a large bunker across the front of the green.

A short Par 4 with a blind drive. Line off tee is the pylon in the distance.
Out of bounds on the right, so favour the left side of the fairway.

A tricky drive with water left and out of bounds right. The second shot plays uphill with out of bounds tight right and bushes over the back.

Hole 6 – The Railway

Par 5 Stroke Index – 18
This difficult Par 5 has a fairly wide landing area, though be careful with the water on to the right. The second shot brings in water left and right along with a trench you need to carry, crossing the fairway. The green slopes from back to front with a bunker left and mounds over the back.

Hole 7 – Valentines

There is little room for error at this difficult Par 3 with water short and right. Safe side is to aim at mounds left of the green. Be sure to be accurate.

Requires a well hit drive but be cautious as out of bounds left and gorse right. A second shot dog legs left to a deceptively long green with out of bounds left favour the right hand side.

Hole 12 – The Dip

A dog leg right with water narrowing the fairway around 200 yards from the left and right. Gorse right and out of bounds left. A second shot is fairly straight forward to a green protected by mounds over the back.

Hole 13 – The Pond

Correct clubbing is essential on this Par 3 to avoid the water short, left and over the back. The right hand side is protected by mounds but often the favoured route by many.

Hole 14 – The Bushes

A good drive is essential to reach this index one hole with water both right and left of the fairway. After finding the fairway it leaves a long demanding shot into a long two tiered green with mounds left and right.

Hole 15 – The Elbow

A very difficult driving hole. Best to aim straight down the middle avoiding water left and right. For the longer hitters it’s possible to carry the water and out of bounds on the dog leg right making it possible to get home in two.

Hole 16 – Beechers

The tee shot should be up the safe left hand side of the fairway avoiding the bunkers and out of bounds up the right. The approach is over a ditch to a green that is deceptively further away than it looks, with out of bounds right.

Hole 17 – Round the Bend

A drive up the right will be rewarded with a good view of the green but be careful to miss the water and gorse. A good drive leaves a straight forward second to a green protected by a bunker at the front right.

The “Home Straight” requires a good drive into the dip with water on the left. The approach shot into an elevated green is protected by a deep bunker on the right hand side of the green.
