Construction has started at Down Royal Park Golf Course on a new 18 bay driving range to compliment golf operations at our 9 hole and 18 hole golf courses. Golf Internship at Down Royal Park Golf Course
Due to continued growth and the construction of a state of the art 18 bay driving range, Down Royal Golf wish to appoint an individual who would want to have a career in golf. Ideally the person should have a love of golf and have a desire to work in golf operations, golf course maintenance, golf instruction and all aspects of employment relating to the golf industry. This is a unique position within Northern Ireland. Applications are invited from anyone who may be a school or college leaver to an individual wishing to make a career change. The potential is there to attain full professional golf coaching certification. The position is full-time permanent employment with an anticipated start date early in 2026. Hole #1 – The Post -330 yard – Par 4
Difficult opening hole fraught with danger. Out of bounds down the right-hand side with prevailing winds generally coming off the left. Additionally, there’s a water hazard and shuck to carry off the tee.Driver is the most popular club for golfers but it brings the out of bounds into play. Ideally hitting 3 or 5 wood down the left side of the fairway will leave an approach inside 150 yards. The green is protected by a large bunker on the left-hand side approaches hitting the green generally kick right.
